Mute robbed of shoes on street

Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said the victim was robbed shortly after 5 p.m.He indicated to Police that he was on Dundonald Street when a man approached him and asked for money and drugs.

He indicated to Police that he was on Dundonald Street when a man approached him and asked for money and drugs.

Upon motioning that he had neither, the man began to search him, Mrs. James Barnett said.

The robber then gripped the victim by his clothing and ordered him to remove his shoes. The victim complied.

Mrs. James Barnett said the victim walked to Hamilton Police Station without any shoes.

MAN HURT IN EXPLOSION AC Man hurt in explosion An East End Asphalt employee was last night listed in stable condition after an industrial accident at the former US baselands in Southampton.

Leonard Charles Holder, who suffered burns to his wrist and upper back legs in a minor explosion at Morgan's Point, was resting on King Edward VII Memorial Hospital's Cooper Ward.

Mr. Holder, 44, of South Shore, Smith's Parish, met his mishap shortly before noon.

Holder and other East End Asphalt employees were cleaning out a container which had asphalt. The explosion occurred after the asphalt was melted and Mr.

Holder had climbed on top of the container to see how much of the substance was left.

WORKMAN BREAKS ARM AC Workman breaks arm A Corporation of St. George's workman suffered a broken arm after falling from a roof where he was working.

The incident took place at St. George's Town Hall just after 3 p.m. on Thursday when the 48-year-old St. George's man was taking flags down outside the building.

While he was reaching for a flag cord, he fell 15 feet over the wall of steps to the ground.

MEN DENY BURGLARY CTS Men deny burglary Two men were charged in Magistrates' Court yesterday with breaking and entering a Warwick sportswear shop a year ago.

Alvin Symonds, 20, of Khyber Pass, Warwick and 21-year-old Antonio Cabral of Pigeon Rock Lane, Pembroke, both pleaded not guilty to committing the offence while concerned with other people not before the court.

Two hundred dollars in cash and clothing and sneakers worth $2,767.10 were removed from the Sports Source between November 30 and December 1 of last year. The matter was adjourned until January 15.
