NEIT students get hands-on training

Technology (NEIT), has trained more technology students than any other private college in Rhode Island since 1940.

"The focus of our programmes is to provide out students with a combination of hands-on technical training with applicable analytical skills, so that, upon graduation, our students possess a unique combination of technical and critical thinking skills,'' said International Admissions Officer, Andrew Antone.

"In order to maintain the highest level of learning and training, NEIT invests heavily in `world class' technical resources and utilises faculty members who are, or have been, top professionals in their field.'' Students at NEIT may work towards an Associate or Bachelor's degree in a variety of programmes including Architectural/Building Engineering Technology, Video & Radio Production, Computer Servicing Technology and Telecommunications Technology.

NEIT also specialises in traditional trade programmes such as automative technology, marine technology, building construction, refrigeration/air conditioning and plumbing technology.

"Ours is one of America's first AutoDesk (CAD) Training Centres and still the only authorised one in Rhode Island,'' added Mr. Antone. "Our electronics programme is the regional FAA collegiate training centre -- the only one in Rhode Island and one of only two in New England.

"According to the Association of Surgical Technologists, the nationwide pass rate for the national certificate exam is 72 percent,'' he added. "Our students' pass rate was 95 percent.''
