New Deputy Governor arrives in April

Mr. Peter Willis, 50, arrives in Bermuda on April 23 to succeed Mr. John Kelly, who is leaving the post after more than four years.

Married with four daughters, Mr. Willis leaves a four-year stint in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office News Department, where he dealt with Middle East issues.

He first entered the Foreign Office in 1963.

Among his earlier postings included the UK Mission to the United Nations in New York dealing with economic issues from 1985 to 1989, and Commercial Consul in Casablanca from 1980 to 1985.
