Thyssen case was not made yesterday.

Last Thursday Puisne Judge Denis Mitchell, who has presided throughout the case, told the court of his impending departure. The judge's three-year contract for the case ends on November 30th this year, but the trial is not expected to finish by then.

It is understood the Governor has decided not to renew his contract in a manner that would satisfy him and Mr. Justice Mitchell adjourned the case last Thursday saying he would have to decide whether to continue with it.

An announcement of some kind was expected when the court resumed yesterday morning, but nothing happened in the public domain. The lawyers consulted together in their rooms for most of the morning and then the court, including the judge, removed to chambers which excludes any member of the public.

At 12.45 p.m. court was adjourned and will reconvene next Tuesday.
