The Parks Department and Police are continuing to investigate the attack, which occured on Saturday night at a Horseshoe Beach dee-jay party. The female victim was taken to hospital by ambulance after the leashed dog -- believed to be a guard dog -- mauled her.
Park Ranger Craig Burt yesterday told The Royal Gazette : "We are dealing with the incident in-house along with the Attorney General's Chambers.'' Police disclosed over the weekend that the 17-year-old Sandys teenager was attacked by the dog after she walked by a security guard who had the dog on a lead.
