Party time!
Progressive Labour Party supporters and well-wishers, along with anyone who wanted to witness the first change of government in the history of party politics took to the streets to see the victors parade, first on Tuesday when Jennifer Smith, newly sworn in as Premier, led a motorcade from Government House through Hamilton to the Cabinet Office, and again yesterday morning when Ms Smith took part in Remembrance Day ceremonies for the first time as Premier.
In between, hundreds of people accompanied the PLP Cabinet to Dockyard on Tuesday afternoon to be sworn in at Governor Thorold Masefield's temporary residence and crowds again lined the streets to see the victors.
