UBP Senator Kim Swan agreed it "made sense'' to take on the recommendations of the auditors who discovered the anomaly. The bill was passed without incident.
And PLP Senator Michael Scott moved that a private bill by BIB Ltd. be read a second time.
He said the purpose of the bill was to make it possible for the company to carry out banking through the Internet.
After a caution by Opposition Senator Mark Pettingill that Bermuda's integrity "not be taken lightly'', the bill was also passed.
