Perot wants to triple size of his beachfront house
Billionaire Tucker's Town resident Ross Perot has applied to the Development Applications Board to triple the size of his home, Caliban.
Mr. Perot, through his architects Conyers and Associates, wishes to move service buildings and a tennis court to extend the 9,823-square-foot house with a two-storey 30,000-square-foot addition.
Caliban, which sits on a 2.86-acre site overlooking Waller's and Surf Bays, will also get six more cesspits and three times more water storage.
The Reefs Beach Club has applied to extend the southwest facing balconies of their southernmost row of apartments.
An 837-square-foot extension, it involves new sliding glass doors, and a new verandah roof.
Protecting dozens of shopping carts from the elements is behind the MarketPlace's application to extend an overhanging glazing at the Shopping Centre on Victoria Street.
The Bermuda Land Development Company are seeking approval of renovations of Building S339 at South Bundy Road, Southside, St. George's.
Sited behind a car park at the junction of South Bundy and Corregidor Avenue, the building will also receive a facelift to make it look more "Bermudian'', including gables and Bermuda stone decorative work.
There will also be a 190-square-foot addition to the 4,039-square-foot building.
Big plans: Bermuda resident and US politician Ross Perot.
