Three-year-old Derik Dill was in collision with a cab driven by Eugene Bean on August 22 at Shelley Bay Park and is still in King Edward VII Memorial Hospital recovering from major surgery.

After the accident Police said no further action could be taken as the incident occurred on private property, but later backtracked and promised to investigate the incident and consider offences under the Road Traffic Act.

Police would now like any independent witnesses to the accident to contact Insp. Anthony Mouchette on 299-4447.
