hospital treatment on Monday evening.

Police said the assault occurred just after 5 p.m. on North Shore Road in Pembroke where two young men were obstructing traffic causing a long line of vehicles to form.

When officers approached the men they became abusive and then assaulted them.

A Police car was also damaged before the men were subdued and taken into custody.

"It is believed the two may have been responsible for some damage that was caused to Admiralty House Park,'' said Police.
