Police investigating two attacks
man lying unconscious outside the Hamilton Parish Workmen's Club on Tuesday night.
The victim was treated for injuries to his right eye, and a 52-year-old Hamilton Parish man was later arrested.
Detectives are also probing a separate attack in which a 48-year-old man alleges he was struck in the back then the front of the head with a scraper.
The attack took place inside a house near Hillview, Warwick, last Wednesday, but the victim only reported the incident this week.
The attacker fled after a struggle and the victim, a Warwick man, was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for cuts to the back and front of his head.
Meanwhile, cash was stolen from a house in Smith Hill Drive, St. David's, some time over the weekend.
A thief took a black leather jacket and some men's jewellery from a house in Sunning Lane, Warwick, on Tuesday.
And a lawnmower was stolen overnight from a house in Cedar Hill, Warwick.
