warning was issued yesterday after thieves snatched belongings from two cars on the weekend.

Police said they arrested a 24-year-old Pembroke man on Saturday evening after he allegedly stole a handbag from an unattended vehicle on St. John's Road.

The owner told Police that she had only been gone from the car for a few minutes.

Police constable Gary Venning said the man was arrested near the scene of the crime shortly after. The handbag and contents were recovered.

On Saturday afternoon, a Sandys man was not so lucky.

Police said he returned to his truck at a Scaur Hill home only to find his wallet, cash and bank cards stolen.
