Police say staff at the club at Great Bay Road, St. David's, noticed the man was irate towards staff before the theft at 5.30 p.m. on Sunday.

One witness chased the thief across St. David's Park, but he escaped.

Meanwhile, Police hope to have solved two crimes after a man was arrested in connection with the theft of a taxi from the West End Sailboat Club on Malabar Road, Sandys.

Police arrested the 31-year-old Sandys man at 4 a.m. on Sunday in Crow Lane.

When Police interviwed the man at Hamilton Police Station they said they were able to link him to the alleged theft of liquor, compact discs, a tape deck and personal items from a car parked at the club on Saturday night.

And a thief who broke into a house in Perry Drive, Warwick, overnight on Saturday proved to be a real pane -- stealing an uninstalled window.
