The young man told Police he and his friends arrived at Spittal Pond Park around 11 p.m. on Thursday.

But he was allegedly set upon by the group during a late night walk through the nature reserve.

The youths allegedly punched, kicked and struck the victim with large search lights.

And the victim claimed he was knocked unconscious, but awoke to find himself being taped to a pole and then beaten again.

He said he eventually freed himself and contacted Police after being left by the gang.

Police discovered the victim shortly before 6 a.m. yesterday in the Spittal Pond car park and took him to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

But a hospital spokesperson confirmed he was released later that morning.

Police are also investigating two other unusual assaults which occurred overnight on Thursday.

In Sandys Parish, two motorcycle riders allegedly rode away laughing after pushing another rider to the ground and breaking her arm.

The 20-year-old woman told Police she was deliberately pushed from her moving motorcycle around 9 p.m. on Thursday.

The complainant said she was riding home on Bob's Valley Road when a man and a woman rode alongside her.

Both riders then allegedly pushed the woman off her cycle and onto the ground before riding away towards Sound View Road.

The male assailant was wearing a black helmet and dark clothes. His passenger is described as a brown-skinned female wearing a black helmet and camouflage clothing.

And early yesterday morning, a Hamilton Parish man admitted he crashed into a wall after dragging a would-be attacker from his speeding car.

A Police spokeswoman said the man had stopped on Curving Avenue, Pembroke to drop off a passenger.

He was then grabbed around the neck by another person.

The driver immediately accelerated into a wall near Mello's Bakery while the attacker was still holding on.

The driver suffered a leg injury, but was able to flee from his car on foot.
