Officers were called to the scene of the two-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning in Spanish Point Road in Pembroke.

The two cars involved were travelling in opposite directions around 11 a.m.

when the eastbound vehicle is believed to have crossed into the other vehicle's path. The driver of the westbound car was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with suspected chest injuries. The occupants of the other car -- which was found to have been reported stolen -- fled the scene.
