Police search for missing boat
Bay, near the Princess Hotel.
The boat is constructed of white fibreglass with a white interior and dark brown mahogany wooden seats.
There is also a blue band painted just above the waterline and a thin blue line painted just below the gunwale.
Anyone with information on the boat's whereabouts is asked to contact P.c. Tim Carr on 295-0011.
Police are also attempting to find the owner of a boat that was found around 2.15 p.m. on Sunday.
The boat, an orange 14-foot Fusion design sailboat hull, was found drifting at the entrance to Mills Creek, without any registration numbers or decals.
It has been secured at Mills Creek and the owner, or anyone who can assist in locating the owner, is asked to contact Marine Police on 299-4585.
THIEVES TARGET STORES CRM Thieves target stores Stores in the Bermudiana Arcade on Queen Street were targeted by thieves at the weekend.
The manager of Pirate's Port found the main door of the arcade unlocked when he arrived at the building around 8 a.m. on Sunday.
Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said various businesses in the building had been broken into. But Pirate's Port was spared.
The owners and managers of Fashion Fabrics and The Face & Body Shop were called after it was discovered that someone had entered one of the shops by smashing a glass door.
POLICE PROBE BREAK-INS CRM Police probe break-ins Police are investigating a series of break-ins, including a brazen entry by a man into a woman's bedroom.
Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said a 35-year-old Southampton woman woke up around 3.30 a.m. on Friday after hearing noises in her bedroom.
The woman told Police she saw a man inside her bedroom and started to scream.
The intruder tried to cover the woman's mouth, but she struggled and managed to pull off his hat.
The culprit ran from the bedroom, into the kitchen, climbed through a window and escaped.
The man was described as six-feet tall, of slim build and wearing dark clothing.
Culprits also broke into the Portuguese school -- on the lower level of the Vasco da Gama building on Reid Street -- on Thursday.
They stole an undisclosed quantity of cash from a teacher's desk drawer and food from a vending machine.
Mrs. James Barnett said Vasco da Gama Club was also targeted. A cash register in the bar area was forced open and "a small quantity'' of cash was taken.
PRESIDENTS ELECTED TOU Presidents elected The Bermuda Hotel Association and Hotel Employers of Bermuda elected their new president and president elects during their annual general meetings last week.
Sonesta Beach Resort vice president and general manager Dennis Tucker was elected president of the BHA while Elbow Beach Hotel general manager Ingo Schweder was elected president elect.
Both positions are for two-year terms.
And Harmony Club president William Griffith was returned as president of the HEB and Princess Hotels regional vice-president Stephen Barker was made president elect of the group.
GAS PRICES ON RISE EGY Gas prices on rise The price of filling up the tank is set to go up.
For Finance Minister Grant Gibbons has announced an eight cents per litre increase in the price of gas.
Also going up are diesel -- by 1.3 cents a litre -- and kerosene, up 1.5 cents a litre.
The hike means the new maximum retail prices per litre on pumps will be $1.19.3 for gas, 95 cents for diesel and 74.4 cents for kerosene.
