Those involved in the five accidents received injuries but none were very serious.

However, Police spokeswoman Insp. Roseanda Jones said: "What is alarming is the fact that of those five accidents, four were attributed to driver error.

This means that four accidents could have been avoided.

"We want to remind the public of their responsibility on the roads. If we all took extra care in driving and watched out for the other person, maybe our roads would be a little safer.''
