Sen. Larry Scott said Sgt. Singh responded to an emergency where the infant had lost consciousness.

He was able to provide resuscitation and the child regained consciousness. Sen Scott said Sgt. Singh deserved an award for his bravery.

The UBP Senator said Sgt. Singh would be missed in the Somerset community because he had subsequently been transferred to the Hamilton Criminal Investigations Department.

Senators Terry Lister, Milton Scot t and Neletha Butterfield joined in sending congratulations to Sgt. Singh.

Sen. Yvette Swan asked that congratulations be sent to the winners of the Queen's Birthday awards while Independent Senator Alf Oughton asked that congratulations be sent to those involved in the Queen's Birthday Parade.

He said this was probably the first time in recent history that all of the participants in the parade were Bermudians.

Sen Butterfield PLP asked that congratulations be sent to Mr. Richard Tucker who is a long-serving member of the May 24th Marathon Derby committee.

Sen. Lister asked that congratulations be sent to Capt. and Mrs. Mark Cummings who are returning to Canada after rendering sterling serving to the Sandys community.

HIGH PRAISE -- Police Sgt. Paul Singh received congratulations in the Senate yesterday for his quick thinking which saved a baby's life.
