funeral of former Bahamian Prime Minister Sir Lynden O. Pindling in the Bahamas next week Monday.

Sir Lyndon O. Pindling, KCMG, QC. helped to create Bermuda's Progressive Labour Party when he was politically active in Bahamas' Progressive Liberal Party. He became Bahamas' Premier in 1967 and led the country to independence in 1973.

Attorney General Dame Lois Browne-Evans and Chief of Staff Senator Lt. Colonel David Burch will accompany the Premier to the funeral. Sir Lynden and a delegation from the Progressive Liberal Party attended the PLP Government's first Convening of Parliament.
