Principal impressed by exam results
outstanding results in this year's graduation year.
At the International GCSE level, the pass rate was 98 percent with 80 percent of all grades being achieved between A to C.
Twelve subjects are offered to pupils at this level, with the testing of pupils being based purely on a one-day examination for each subject and does not include any course work.
At the GCSE exam, in which four subjects are offered at the school, the pass rate was 98 percent, with 68 percent of the grades being between A and C.
Mr. Lennox said: "These results prove a landmark for the school.
"For the first time, the school has obtained higher grades in the International GCSE than the GCSE. This is very encouraging. For this particular year group, these results mark an outstanding effort by both the pupils and their teachers.
"It is very satisfying to note that just about everyone obtained the results of which they were capable.'' A total of 28 students have progressed into the sixth form to study for the Advanced International Certificate of Education.
Among the leading students were Jay Butler, son of Government MP Dale Butler, who got two grades at A*, five As, and two Bs. Emma Rego obtained four As, three Bs and three Cs, and Kristopher Sannemalm got three As and six Bs.
Mr. Lennox added: "Another pleasing feature was that half of year secondary four took English a year early and all passed with grades A to C. The future looks bright, indeed.''
