During Friday's session of the House of Assembly a bill entitled The Customs Department Amendment Act was tabled.

The bill will introduce an as yet unannounced fee for clearance of private aircraft which arrive at Bermuda International Airport. The bill is indicative of Government's pledge to try to squeeze more revenue out of the Airport, which currently operates at a loss.
