the Constitution this week.

On Thursday evening, Premier Jennifer Smith and a panel of invited guests will talk about the plans, which include reducing the present number of constituencies.

The meeting, at St. Paul's Centennial Hall, Court Street, will first feature Ms Smith, who will explain the key features of the changes and the process for implementing them.

It will then be turned over to the panel, which is expected to include UBP MPs and others, representing a broad range of opinions.

The motion asking the UK Government to amend Bermuda's Constitution is listed on the orders of the day for the House of Assembly on Friday.

If MPs agree, a request would be made via Governor Thorold Masefield, to reduce the number of seats from 40, replace the current Parliamentary Secretary role with that of Junior Ministers and change the present parish boundaries.

The meeting starts at 7.30 p.m.
