Avonn Browne, 22, of Riviera Crescent, Southampton, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to stealing $197.50, a including pizza and a money-belt, from a pizza man and assaulting him.

Kutii Trott, 19, of Duke of Kent Street, St. George's, pleaded guilty to receiving the pizza worth $18.75, knowing it had been stolen.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis heard that the offences took place at Warwick Camp on July 25.

A third person -- who was involved in the offence -- had been tried in the Juvenile Court earlier this month.

Police prosecutor Sgt. John Dale said the delivery man, Samuel Richards, took a pizza order to Warwick Camp.

When he arrived, Sgt. Dale said, he was met by a military officer who told him nobody was around.

Richards returned to Four Star Pizza in Warwick. And shortly afterward a man who identified himself as `Simmons' requested that the pizza be delivered again, Sgt. Dale said.

When Richards returned to Warwick Camp he was struck on his left side and pulled to the ground from his cycle by a masked man.

Browne, the masked assailant, held Richards down and told him: "Don't even move.'' And the juvenile ran and grabbed the pizzas while Trott replaced Browne and held the delivery man to the ground.

Sgt. Dale said Browne took the delivery man's money belt and told him to leave.

Through inquiries, he said, Police spoke to others who were near the Warwick Camp area at the time of the incident and recognised Browne, Trott and the juvenile.

Sgt. Dale said some of those interviewed told Police that Browne and Trott asked them if they wanted to take part in the robbery.

The three assailants were later interviewed by Police and admitted to the crimes.

Browne and Trott were represented by lawyer Mr. Philip Perinchief who requested a social inquiry report for them.

Both men were bailed at $1,200 each with a like surety and were ordered to return to court on September 21 when the report was scheduled to be completed.

Police prosecutor Sgt. John Dale said Police were travelling south on Par-La-Ville Road when they noticed somebody riding a bike that had no rear light.

Police attempted to pull over the rider, but he made a sudden getaway by making a U-turn, driving off down Par-La-Ville Road, and eventually escaping on Canal Road, Sgt. Dale said.

Police were later called to a traffic accident on Angle Street where a rider crashed his bike trying to avoid Burrows.

Sgt. Dale said Burrows was arrested and taken to Hamilton Police Station when an officer noticed that he smelled of alcohol.

The alco-analyser showed that he had 172 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

Darrell ignored this, Sgt. Dale said, and the couple went for a walk on a South Shore Beach on February 22 where they had unprotected sex.

This led to the pregnancy of the young girl, Sgt. Dale said.

Mr. Francis granted Darrell bail in the sum of $500 with a like surety. He also ordered Darrell to return to court on October 16 when the report was expected to be completed.
