Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said the restaurant's 52-year-old manager suffered facial injuries following the robbery which took place about 1 a.m.

Two men entered the restaurant on Malabar Road, assaulted the manager, and fled with an undetermined amount of cash, P.c. Venning said.

A weapon was believed to be used in the assault.
