Room nights sold remain in decline

island's hotels and cottage colonies a full 51,396 room nights behind the figure recorded for the same period in 1994.

Stephen Barker, president of the Bermuda Hotel Association, said that hotel and cottage colonies combined to achieve a final occupancy of 66.6 per cent which is 1.4 points behind the level attained in 1995 and 4.5 points behind 1994. This means that for the ten month period ending October 31, 1996 room nights sold totaled 622,771 which is behind the 1995 figure and a full 51,396 behind the 1994 figure.
