Stolen new car recovered
brand new Daewoo Cielo from the compound.
However, luckily the car was found nearby the shop this week with only the bumper missing.
Police reported that someone broke into the locked compound on Addendum Lane in Pembroke and stole the brand new vehicle which had the keys in its ignition.
"Some construction workers saw the car off Cemetery Road, and noticed it was unlicensed and the front bumper was missing,'' a Police spokesperson said.
Owner of Ray Brother's Mr. William Ray said this was not the first time a car was stolen from the compound.
"Six months ago one of our cars was stolen and the thief mashed it up. This time the thief cut the chain on the compound gate and took the car to the back of the church off Cemetery Road. He only stole the bumper and one of the doors was grazed.'' Mr. Ray added that by the looks of the location the car was found in, it seemed likely that the thief was going to come back for more parts.
