Store targeted in smash-and-grab raid
Police say thieves threw a cement block through the front door of Miles Market. Inside, they took an unspecified number of bottles.
Thieves took a colour television, microwave and Sanyo video cassette in a raid on a nursery at Brighton Hill, Devonshire. The culprits gained entry by smashing a window at the Schoolhouse nursery yesterday.

Today, Delta flies 252-seat Boeing 767-300 aircraft on daily flights from Boston and Atlanta.
According to Air Transport World magazine, Delta and its partners and subsidiaries make it the world's most flown carrier.
More than 105 million passengers travelled on 5,211 flights to 353 cities in 56 countries last year.
Delta was also named Airline of the Year by the magazine.

STOLEN BIKE RECOVERED CRM Stolen bike recovered Marine Police recovered a stolen auxiliary cycle from its watery grave on Sunday.
A spokesman said the white Scarabeo cycle, valued at $1,700, was stolen from Front Street, Hamiltohn last Friday.
But the thief or thieves apparently later ditched the cycle in waters near Marginal Wharf, St. George's.
Marine Police also searched the car ship Pioneer Leader for stowaways after the vessel arrived from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, yesterday.
However, no stowaways were found.

Thirty compact discs worth $400 were also stolen from an unattended van on Reid Street, Pembroke this weekend.
And four public signs at Gibbs Hill Lighthouse in Southampton were ripped apart. They were worth $400.

The 18ft New Testament fired a red flare at 3.15 p.m., three quarters of a mile north of Elbow Buoy.
It was disabled and the Hook and Cook came to its aid, towing it into Devonshire Dock.
