Student banned after high speed bike chase
year after a Magistrate revoked his riding privileges following a high-speed chase.
Kenwande Khris Robinson, of St. Monica's Road, Pembroke, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court on Monday to riding without a licence and dangerous driving.
Crown counsel Charmaine Smith said Police spotted Robinson traveling at a high speed on Parson's Road on June 24 around 10.15 p.m.
When Robinson realised he had been seen by Police, he sped up and attempted to lose officers in a chase that led from Glebe Road to Friswell's Lane.
Robinson ignored stop signs, drove on the wrong side of the road, jumped two sets of steps, rode on footpaths and a residential yard before eventually eluding officers.
A few days later Police spotted the young man and questioned him. He admitted to the offence and was arrested.
Senior Magistrate Will Francis fined Robinson $100 for not having a driver's licence and $200 for dangerous driving.
Mr. Francis also disqualified him from all vehicles for 12 months.
