Jody Carreiro and his friend Kameron Kerkemeyer were at the beach opposite NASA on Saturday when Jody discovered the bottle lying on the sand.

Inside was a note dated June 22, 1993 stating: "The wine in this bottle was drunk at Dollaro Cafe in Livorno, Italy. The bottle with this note was thrown from a ship at approximately 39N, 40W, Atlantic Ocean. To whoever finds this note -- kindly send me a letter! "Yours Truly, Bruce Bridewell, M.D., P.O.

Box 2671, Bonita Springs, Florida 33959, U.S.A.'' The note also gave Dr. Bridewell's phone number which Jody's monther Catherine said she had tried to call -- but it was temporarily out of order.

Dr. Bridewell was about 880 kilometres west of the Azores when he dropped the bottle overboard.
