boy has resigned from his post, The Royal Gazette has learned.

Headmaster Mr. Clayton Mcknight confirmed yesterday that the teacher, who is believed to have gone on to continue his education in the United States, voluntarily resigned after the allegations arose some five months ago.

The primary school-aged boy is still a student at the school.

The Royal Gazette understands the boy's parents, both staunch Adventists, said they would not press charges as long as the teacher either resigned or was removed.

They wanted to prevent further mental anguish to their son which they believed would have been inevitable had the matter gone to trial.
