following a two-vehicle collision yesterday afternoon.

The accident happened on Somerset Road near the junction with Long Bay Lane, Sandys just after 2 p.m.

The crash victim was driving an auxiliary cycle which was in collision with a car.

The injured rider, who is not being named, was detained in the emergency department of the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for several hours under observation, she was eventually discharged.
