The boys rode into the compound at 6.10 p.m. on Wednesday and the pillion passenger located a black Yamaha cycle in a holding shed. He attempted to push the cycle out of the compound when plain clothes Police observed him.

Both juveniles were arrested and later bailed to re-appear at Hamilton Police Station at a later date.

The Traffic department's compound is not locked at that time of the day.

DRIVER ARRESTED CRM Driver arrested A man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and drug offences early on Thursday.

The man was observed at 2.40 a.m. driving a green Mitsubishi car on Front Street in an erratic manner while wearing a crash helmet.

The car was later reported to Police as being stolen.

The thief stole a collection of 180 vinyl 45 rpm records and a RCA DSS satellite receiver from an improperly secured home on Flowercote Lane in Smith's Parish on Thursday.

TWO MEN WOUNDED CRM Two men wounded Two men were arrested for wounding others in separate incidents.

An employer allegedly hit his helper when an argument broke out at his North Shore Road, Pembroke home over payment for a completed job on Wednesday night.

The 45-year-old Pembroke victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment for a large wound above his left eye.

He had been hit with a wooden stick and required six stitches to close the wound. His 47-year-old employer was later arrested for alleged wounding assault.

And an argument turned violent early on Thursday between two men in the parking lot of the Swizzle Inn in Hamilton Parish.

A Hamilton Parish man smashed a beer bottle over the head of another man -- also of Hamilton Parish, causing a deep wound over the man's right eye.

The incident occurred at 1.50 a.m. yesterday. The man was arrested and taken to St. George's Police Station.

LANTANA GETS GO-AHEADA PLN Lantana gets go-ahead Owners of the former Lantana Colony Club have been given the go-ahead to convert the property into residential units.

The Sandys resort closed its doors last July after 40 years of business. A US firm pulled out of a deal to buy the property earlier this year.

At a meeting of the Development Applications Board, permission to convert six of the facility's units from tourism to residential use was granted.

CHARITIES GET ADVICE CON EDC Charities get advice How new technology can assist Bermuda's charities will be the topic of a workshop being held at the Bermuda College today.

The workshop, organised by the Centre of Philanthropy and the Bermuda Computer Society, will review the most relevant technologies and discuss the impact of technology on charities.

The aim of the workshop is to explain how charities can take advantage of technological developments.

Presenters will include technological experts, along with a mini-panel of local charities who will explain how their operations have harnessed technical advance.

The workshop will start at 8.30 a.m. in New Hall at the College and will last until 1.30 p.m..
