Now that I am big nobody can hurt me. I don have to worry about anybody treating me mean. I am happy. I've changed into a goose. Everybody says I'm handsome.

I spend my time swimming in the pond. People give me bread. Sometimes I catch fish. I miss you very much but now I have a family of my own. I have a wife and four children. Would you believe? The same thing has happened to me. I have an ugly duckling myself but I am going to take good care of him.

Your son, The Ugly Duckling --Matthieu Richard, age 7 Harrington Sound Primary PETER Peter Once there was a boy named Peter. He had Down Syndrome. When he first went to school he was kicking as well as slapping. But, his teacher told him to apologise. He did but he gave the boy a hug too. And ever since that was his best friend. He was sad when he had to leave to go to grade 4. He would miss his friend. He would be very forlorn.
