Thief quick off the mark

A Paget man said the briefcase, which contained $300 in cash and some personal papers, was stolen when he left it unattended in his cycle basket.

He had stepped into the Paget Pharmacy to get a newspaper when the theft occurred.

In another incident reported to Police, a Warwick man said that someone entered a shed on his dock last Saturday evening, smashing a pane of glass and releasing the lock.

A fishing rod and reel, stereo speakers and some frozen yellowfin tuna were stolen. The total value of the stolen items was estimated at $800.

Meanwhile, a couple staying at the St. George's Club woke up around 4.30 a.m yesterday morning to find a man standing in their bedroom.

He ran out empty-handed and jumped from the balcony after the couple screamed.

He had entered their room through a closed but unlocked sliding glass door.
