Thief takes visitor's bag

Police said the woman, from New Jersey, was sitting on a bench just inside the entrance to Waterloo House on Pitts Bay Road, Pembroke on Sunday when a man approached her and asked if there were any restaurants in the area.
He ran from the complex and turned left on Pitts Bay. The green leather handbag contained a black wallet, an undisclosed amount of cash, and credit cards.
The woman described the thief as a white man in his 30s.
