A Police spokesman said that in the early hours of Monday morning a couple staying at a tourist accommodation in Paget were disturbed by a man leaning over their bedside night table.

The man fled, taking with him a wallet and a purse containing a total of $700.

A second break-in occurred on Monday at a Devon Springs home in Devonshire.

Police said $300 was stolen but they were unable to pinpoint a time for the break-in other than to say it occurred during the day.
