In addition to the new rooms, kitchen facilities will be upgraded, a squash court built and landscaping undertaken.

A new restaurant will be added on the site of an old spa. The resort already has a 10,000-square-foot spa.

Cambridge president Mike Winfield said negotiations were taking place with contractors, which would determine how and when the project proceeded.
