Managers and assistant sales managers from New York, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Toronto, Virginia, Tampa and Hartford will gather at Marriott's Castle Harbour Resort for three days.

The aim is to prepare the staff for the "challenges of 1997'' and discuss sales strategies and plans for the coming year.

Tourism Director Gary Phillips and Tourism Minister David Dodwell will address the meetings, held tomorrow, Thursday and Friday.

Mr. Phillips said the main mandate of the overseas sales teams was to "predispose travel agents to Bermuda and to encourage their clients to book a holiday in Bermuda.
