Schai Govia, 26, of Middle Road, Southampton and Anthony Smith, 18, of Princess Estate, Pembroke, admitted fighting in a public place on Sunday.

Police were called to the junction of Court Street and Front Street around 3.30 p.m. on Sunday after the pair began fighting. The officers separated the men and took them to Hamilton Police station.

Govia told Senior Magistrate Will Francis that he was sorry the incident took place.

"I just wish people would get along better and act right when they are out,'' he added.

Mr. Francis ordered both men to each pay a $150 fine.
