A 15-year-old and a 22-year-old from Warwick, both male, are helping Police with inquiries into Monday night's incident.

Police said the pair have not yet been charged, and no court appearance has been fixed.

Mr. William Pearman, owner of Belvin's, foiled the robbery bid shortly after 9 p.m.

He set off the alarm after a youth walked into the store and demanded money.

The youth escaped empty-handed on the back of a motorbike, being ridden by an accomplice.
