She had just gotten off her bus and was crossing the street when a motorcycle driven by a 25-year-old Smith's Parish man struck her.

A 25-year-old Southampton man was last night listed in stable condition, with a fractured skull after being assaulted by a friend.

Police said he sustained the head injuries on Tuesday evening, following an argument with another man at a Southampton home. He is in a general ward at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. A 22-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
