Two men arrested for sexual assault

A Police spokesperson said that a 17-year-old Pembroke man and a 19-year-old Devonshire man have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Enquiries are continuing.

Police also reported another assault against a 27-year-old Southampton man who was hospitalised after he was allegedly attacked by a group of men wielding baseball bats and machetes.

The incident occurred around 9.

30 p.m. on Saturday night on Middle road near the PHC Stadium.

Police said the circumstances leading to the attack are not clear, but the victim apparently suffered serious head injuries as a result of the attack.

An investigation is underway by the Central CID office.

VSB-TV STAYS WITH BINGO BROADCASTS CTS VSB-TV stays with Bingo broadcasts Bingo broadcasts will be aired as usual until VSB-TV and Freeport Gardens Bingo bosses go to trial in April.

VSB-TV boss, Kenneth Defontes yesterday insisted the company has no plans to cut the programme in light of the pending trial.

"The station has not been found guilty of anything. Bingo is considered a game of skill in North American -- not a lottery,'' he said.

On Friday Defontes and Freeport Gardens Bingo owner, Neil Inchup pleaded not guilty in Magistrates' Court to violating the Lotteries Act.

Inchup, pleaded not guilty to a further charge of operating the lottery using the name Freeport Bingo and running it in the Dockyard clocktower building.

Both will appear before the Senior Magistrate, the Wor. William Francis on April 17.

AUGUST DATES FOR CUP MATCH 1995 CRI August dates for Cup Match 1995 Government Information Services have reported that the dates for next year's Cup Match and Somer's Day holiday were printed inaccurately in the 1995 Telephone Book.

The holiday will take place on Thursday and Friday, August 3 and 4, not July 27 and 28.

For future reference, they advise, Cup Match always falls on the Thursday and Friday before the first Monday in August.
