One evening two men set out for a boat ride around about five o'clock. It started to get dark and the water got rough and it was rocking side to side.

The two men began to get frightened because how would not find their way home in all that raging water and the heavy, whistling winds.

Then the winds went calm and the waters went calm too. Both men suddenly woke up and found themselves drifting in the middle of the sea. They both were surprised, and their faces dropped.

As they were on the boat one of the men shouted, "Land, land, I see land.'' The other man was so excited he was praying to God for his blessing, for sending them to land.

The two men were finally there. They got out of the boat and ran around. As they were looking around on the island the boat had been drifting away without them noticing it. When they went back to tie up their boat, it was gone. They were looking and looking, and they didn't see it anywhere. One of the men said, "It must have sunk.'' Well they set there gazing into space.

Suddenly, they saw a big pencil and paper. They ran over there and started writing a letter to put in a bottle. After they finished they went to look for food. They found bananas and grapes. They were on the island for two weeks.

Finally one day a boat came and they ran over to the boat and jumped on it.

They were so happy to be on it and the driver got their letter in the bottle.

Then they drove off happily.
