Two taxi drivers duped
In the first incident occurred at about 1.30 p.m. when a taxi driver picked up a fare and took him to the corner of Dundonald and U nion Street in Pembroke and then on to Parson's Road in Pembroke.
The fare asked for cash from the driver in order to make change and promised to return from his destination with the correct amount of money -- he did not return.
The second incident happened at about 7 p.m. the same day when another taxi driver picked up a fare and took the man to Robert's Avenue in Devonshire. The fare did the same thing -- asking for cash to make change and promised to return but failed to appear.

MAN RESCUED AFTER GOING OVERBOARD RES Man rescued after going overboard A man was pulled from the waters of North Shore yesterday morning after falling out of his boat.
Harbour radio received a call around 10.45 a.m. and was told that a man had lost control of his Boston Whaler off Penhurst Park and fallen in the water.
Marine Police were in the vicinity and ten minutes later the man was safely aboard a Police Launch. The man was not injured and his out of control boat was brought safely alongside the Police launch.
CYCLES COLLIDE ON SOUTH ROAD AC Cycles collide on South Road Two cycles travelling in opposite directions along South Road collided near Tee Street on Wednesday morning.
At about 6.45 a.m. the collision knocked both riders to the ground -- a 21 year-old St. George's woman and a 38 year-old Warwick man.
Both suffered facial cuts and the man complained of pain to his neck. Police are appealing to members of the public, who may have witnessed this incident or may have information pertaining it, to contact their respective Police station, Police Headquarters at 296-0011 or confidential Crimestoppers Hotline 1(800) 623-8477.
INFLATION RATE GOES UP GVT Inflation rate goes up The rate of inflation in Bermuda has gone up for the first time in five months to 2.8 percent.
