UK Parliamentarians on the Island
will arrive on the Island tonight.
Lord Ashley -- a Labour peer and former top figure in the House of Commons -- and Labour MPs Jamie Cann and Jeffrey Ennis will join UK MPs Ian Davidson and Tony Wright, who arrived in Bermuda last night.
House of Assembly clerk Muriel Roach, secretary/treasurer of the Bermuda CPA, said: "The organisation is a loose alliance of Members of Parliaments from all around the world.'' The UK group, all Labour members of the House of Lords or Commons, have a crowded week ahead.
They will visit Governor Thorold Masefield, Premier Jennifer Smith and the Opposition leader Pamela Gordon as part of their fact-finding trip.
Mrs. Roach added the UK MPs interests -- which include education, the environment and health care -- will also be catered for. They will also tour the BUEI, the King Edward Hospital and CedarBridge Academy. The UK team will also visit the House of Assembly.
