Vaucrosson wins $3.6m judgment
against former banker Arnold J. Todd.
It's unlikely Mr. Vaucrosson will collect much, if any of the money. Mr. Todd is being hounded by creditors. Law firm Mello Hollis Jones and Martin have filed a writ for bankruptcy proceedings against him.
Mr. Todd, a former Bank of Bermuda loan officer, was cleared of six criminal charges for theft in a nine-week trial in November 1996. Mr. Todd was ordered to pay more than $500,000 to 74-year-old business partner Frederick Hendrickson last September.
Mr. Vaucrosson was convicted of stealing almost $400,000 from the estate of a dead TV journalist and was later disbarred -- three years after being jailed in 1995.
Mr. Vaucrosson was off the Island and could not be contacted for comment.
