The news came yesterday from The Council Partners Charitable Trust chairman Brian Dupperreault.

In addition to polling the agencies of The Council Partners for nominations, Mr. Duperreault said the Trust wanted to invite the community to participate in the process of selecting a resident of Bermuda who is making an outstanding contribution in the fight against abuse of addicitive substances.

The winner will receive The Council Partners Charitable Trust Award which is presented yearly.

This year's award will be presented by actor Samuel Jackson on May 11 during the closing ceremonies of the Samuel Jackson Celebrity Golf Classic.
