Kylah Symone Stowe failed to appear for sentencing in Magistrates' Court for stealing from her employer in January.

Stowe, 25, of 9 South Terrace, Pembroke, pleaded guilty in May to stealing a bank bag containing $1,146 from the Masters Ltd. Esso service station on January 8.

She missed yesterday's hearing during which she was to be sentenced after Magistrate Edward King read a social inquiry report from probation officers.

Earlier this month, lawyer Elizabeth Christopher told Mr. King that Stowe was living at the Fair Havens home for women.

Last Tuesday, Stowe jumped from the roof of the Golinsky Building next door to the Hamilton Police Station after giving officers the slip during an exercise break.

She was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment for two broken legs.
