Gazette newspaper.

Billed as "An Affordable Place To Stay On One Of The World's Richest Islands,'' Willowbank is praised by former guests in the article.

Willowbank is a non-profit-making, non-denominational Christian foundation. It does not pay travel agents fees and does not do a lot of advertising according to the The Gazette.

And this is one reason guests pay half the normal cottage colony rate according to Mr. Howard and Mrs. Valerie Smith.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith, readers of the Montreal paper, said they do not like limbo dancers, cruise directors and off-key lounge lizards.

They much prefer the Willowbank. They are quoted as saying: "Don't let that Christian tag worry you. Our total religious activity in Bermuda consists of going to church. People may attend the daily religious discussion at Willowbank.'' Gazette Travel Editor Mr. Paul Waters on a recent stay in Bermuda confirmed Willowbank as an "idyllic spot.''
