motorbike was in collision with a car.

The accident happened around 6.45 p.m. on Middle Road near Warwick Post Office.

A Police spokesman said last night that the woman, who has not been identified, but is understood to be a resident, had been bleeding from head wounds, but the full extent of her injuries was not known last night.

In another incident, a 34-year-old Sandys Parish woman escaped without serious injuries after the car she was driving went off the road near Five Star Island in Southampton. Police said the accident occurred just after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

The woman, who was driving a black Daihatsu Charade, was believed to have been travelling west.

On negotiating the sharp right-hand bend just before the Five Star Island dock, the woman lost control and slid into the east bound lane.

Police said the car then went over the embankment and collided with rocks on the shoreline.

The woman, who received treatment in King Edward VII Memorial Hospital's emergency department, suffered abrasions to her forehead and bruising to her chest and lungs.
